Overtone: Memory Trace
Effective date: September 25, 2026
Overtone: Memory Trace ("Overtone" or "the game") is developed and operated by Kaan Apan ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains what information the game uses and the choices you have.
You can play without an Overtone cloud account. Cloud backup, gameplay analytics, rewarded ads, purchases and Energy reminders are optional.
Information on your device
The game saves your progress, unlocked cases and memories, Coins, Energy, reward history, gameplay statistics and settings. It also keeps purchase records to recognize what you own and avoid duplicate rewards, plus connection details if you use cloud backup.
This information generally stays until you clear the game’s data or delete the app. Your device’s backup system may keep or restore a copy. Uninstalling does not delete a cloud backup or information already held by online services.
Cloud backup
You can enable backup during welcome or in Settings > Cloud Backup.
Your platform gaming account connects to Unity Authentication and Unity Cloud Save. They use your player ID and sign-in verification information, not your account password.
When enabled, backup stores your supported progress, unlocks, Coins, Energy, statistics, reward history, purchase transaction references and save times under your Unity player ID. This lets you save, synchronize and recover progress. Not every device setting or unfinished attempt is included.
Turning backup off stops syncing. Your existing cloud account and backup stay stored until you delete them.
Deleting your cloud account
Open Settings > Cloud Backup > Delete cloud account and confirm. You may need an internet connection and the platform gaming account used for backup.
The process turns backup off and deletes your Overtone cloud account and backup. It also stops gameplay analytics on that device and sends Unity a separate request to delete analytics linked to that game installation. That request can take time.
Your local progress, settings, purchases, platform account and exported artwork remain. This action does not automatically delete store records, information independently held by other providers or analytics from every other device. Connecting again can create a new cloud account and upload your retained progress.
If deletion fails, follow the retry instructions or email odevlerden@gmail.com. You can also email to request deletion without using the app, including if you never enabled cloud backup or need help with another device’s analytics. Include any available player ID or deletion reference. We may need to verify your identity; do not send passwords or full payment details.
Gameplay analytics and technical information
With your permission, Unity Analytics helps us understand and improve the game. It can record episode progress and duration, feature and booster use, case unlocks, and purchase, Energy recovery and ad outcomes. Related information may include app and device details, operating system, sessions, installation or player IDs, and approximate country or region.
These records can be linked to your game installation or player ID, so they are not completely anonymous.
You can decline during welcome or turn off Settings > Gameplay Analytics. This stops new gameplay analytics collection. Contact us to request deletion of information already collected.
Unity’s engine and online services also handle technical information to run reliably, fix faults and prevent fraud. Depending on the service and its settings, this may include IP addresses, app and device IDs, software versions, connection logs, errors and crash information.
The Gameplay Analytics switch does not turn off Unity’s technical diagnostics or information needed by other features you use, such as purchases and cloud backup.
Ads and privacy choices
Rewarded ads are optional and provided through Unity LevelPlay, including ironSource Ads and Unity Ads.
Ad services may use your IP address and approximate location, device and app details, installation IDs, advertising IDs where permitted, ad requests and interactions, reward outcomes, technical information and privacy choices. They use this to select, deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud and provide rewards.
Ads may load in advance after the required privacy checks. Remove Ads gives eligible rewards without displaying ads; the normal reward limits still apply. It does not delete earlier information or change your privacy choices.
Our consent service shows the advertising choices that apply in your region. It can save your choices on the device and pass them to ad services. Where available, reopen Settings > Privacy Choices to change them. Ads may be personalized, non-personalized, limited or unavailable depending on those choices. Ordinary local gameplay remains available.
On iOS, App Tracking Transparency controls permission for advertising tracking across other companies’ apps and websites. Android also has device-level ad privacy controls. You can change these in device settings, separately from in-game choices. Declining tracking still allows information needed for online features or non-personalized ads, subject to your other privacy choices.
Some privacy laws describe certain advertising data use as “sale,” “sharing” or targeted advertising. Where you have the right to opt out, use Privacy Choices or contact us.
Purchases
Your app store processes optional Coin packs, case unlocks and Remove Ads purchases. We do not receive your full payment-card or banking details.
The game and purchase services use product IDs, transaction IDs or receipts, purchase status and ownership records to deliver and restore purchases and avoid duplicate rewards. Purchase outcomes or transaction references may also be included if you enable analytics or cloud backup.
Use Settings > Restore Purchases to check for eligible permanent purchases. Your store handles refunds and keeps its own records; deleting your cloud account does not cancel purchases.
Reminders and saving artwork
Energy reminders are scheduled locally on your device when enabled, with notification permission where required. Turn them off in the game or your device settings.
Saving a memory image writes the selected artwork to your photo or media library. On iOS, the game asks for add-only Photos access. Older Android versions may require storage permission. This feature does not read or upload your existing photos. You can delete exported images through your photo or media app.
Providers and support
Apple provides store payments and Game Center sign-in on iOS. Google provides store payments and Play Games sign-in on Android, and User Messaging Platform (UMP) for regional advertising choices on both platforms.
Unity and relevant advertising and hosting partners provide the services described above. We require the providers we share information with to protect it at least as carefully as described in this policy and required by applicable app-store privacy rules, and to use it only for permitted purposes. Some also handle information for their own purposes under their policies. See Unity’s Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and anything you attach. We use these to help you and handle your request.
Providers may handle information in other countries. Where required, their data-protection terms provide safeguards such as approved contracts or transfers to countries recognized as providing adequate protection. Contact us for details.
We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no online service or storage system is completely secure. We may share information when legally required or permitted to protect users, security or legal rights.
Why we use information
The uses are explained with each feature above. Where the law requires a legal reason, we rely on:
- Providing the game and features you request under our agreement with you.
- Your permission for optional analytics and other uses that require consent.
- Our legitimate interests in security, reliability, fraud prevention and support, where allowed and balanced against your rights.
- Following legal requirements.
How long information is kept
Local data and cloud backups stay as explained above. Other records are kept according to why they are needed:
- Analytics, ad and technical records follow the provider’s settings and rules for uses such as measurement, troubleshooting and fraud prevention.
- Support messages are kept to resolve requests, follow up and meet any legal recordkeeping requirements.
- Stores and other providers may need to retain purchase or security records for accounting, disputes, fraud prevention or legal reasons.
Deletion can take time, and some records may need to be kept for these reasons. Contact us to ask about a particular record or request deletion.
Your choices and rights
You can change your permission at any time through the game, device settings or by contacting us. We will stop future use that depends on it. This does not undo earlier use that was allowed at the time, but you can still request deletion.
Depending on your location and the law, you may be able to see, correct, delete or receive a portable copy of your information; stop or limit certain uses; opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising; appeal a decision; or complain to a data-protection authority.
Email odevlerden@gmail.com to make a request. We may need to verify your identity and locate the records. We will respond within the time required by law and respect your rights without unlawful discrimination. We can also help identify the request route for information separately controlled by a provider.
Children and policy updates
Overtone is not directed to children under 13. Follow the app-store age rating and any higher local minimum age. If you believe a child’s information has been handled inappropriately, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
We may update this policy as the game or its services change. We will update the date, explain important changes where required and ask for permission before starting new uses that need it.
